Compared to previous models, unnecessary blank spaces when printing labels have been significantly reduced. The margin before and after each label has been shortened from about 10mm to around 4mm. This allows you to produce more labels from a single tape roll, saving costs.
※ Some tapes are not compatible with this function.
※ Label length with older models was about 50mm; with the SR-R680, it is reduced to about 38mm.
※ Reduction varies depending on margin and cutting settings.

2. Automatic Tape Recognition for Easier Label Creation

① Optimized Printing Settings: The printer automatically adjusts parameters such as print speed, ink density, and cutting mode based on the installed tape, ensuring stable print quality and saving setup time.
② Suggested Formats & Modes: The printer detects the tape type and automatically provides suitable print formats and special modes, eliminating manual configuration and making label creation faster and more efficient.

3. Built-in Standard Symbols & Icons – Ideal for Signage

Equipped with a JIS (JIS Z8210) symbol library updated to the July 20, 2017 standard. Users can easily create clear, aesthetic labels suitable for public areas, signage, stations, hospitals, offices, etc.
The symbol design is optimized for international readability, making information displays more user-friendly.

4. Automatic Cutter with “Half-Cut” Function – Convenient & Precise

The SR-R680 features an automatic cutter that trims labels immediately after printing.
It also supports “half-cut” mode, which cuts only the printed surface while leaving the backing intact, making labels easier to peel and apply.
※ The cutter does not support certain tapes such as iron-on, heat-resistant, magnetic, or ribbon tapes.
※ Half-cut is not applicable to shrink tubes, premium tapes, thermal transfer labels, magnetic tapes, long white labels, or ribbons.

5. Continuous “Half-Cut” Mode

Supports flexible continuous half-cutting. Options include:
• Printing multiple labels as one strip.
• Automatically cutting each label individually.
This is especially useful for distributing labels quickly and neatly.

※ Not supported for iron-on labels, premium paper, heat-resistant labels, decorative tapes, magnetic tapes, thermal transfer labels, shrink tubes, ribbons, or tapes with widths of 4mm or 6mm.

• Name Labels: Specialized printing for PRO ribbon tapes, ideal for personal name tags, gifts, or school supplies.

※ Not supported for 4mm and 6mm tapes. Some tapes may not produce readable codes.
